UPCOMING EVENTS

Firesides at the Ferdowsi home at 8 PM on Tuesday evenings.

OWBS School 2006-2007 at Falls Church High School starts on Sunday, September 10^th at 10 AM.

CommUnity Champions involved in the fundraising activities for the Northern Virginia Baha’i Center will meet with Rosita Najmi at the Alavian home on Saturday, July 29^th between 4 and 5:30 PM.

Next Feast at the Ferdowsi home on Monday, July 31^st at 7:30 PM

Next LSA Meeting on Wednesday, August 2, at 8 PM at the Roshanian home.

Visit from Fairfax Cluster Committee.

Dayspring Baha’i School, Frostberg State University, Frostberg, MD, August 3^rd-6^th.

Fairfax Cluster Inter-Institutional Meeting with the LSAs at Patrick Henry Library in the Town of Vienna on Saturday, August 12^th, between 2 ad 5 PM.

Tentative Devotional Meeting at the Alavian home on Saturday, August 12^th, at 7:30 PM.

Core Curriculum Training for teachers: August 18-20 at the Alexandria Baha’i Center

TOV Baha’i Invocations at Vienna Town Council meeting- Monday, 8 PM, on August 21, October 23, and December 18.

Massanetta Conference/Persian Conference in Chicago scheduled for August 31 through September 4 (Labor Day Weekend).

LSA Development Session (opened to the entire community) on “Consultation” hosted and facilitated by the Alavians on Saturday September 16^th between 9AM and 12 noon. Breakfast and lunch provided.

Commencement of Ruhi Institute Book 7 on Saturday, September 23 or 30^th at the Roshanian home

TOV-sponsored fund-raiser for the Northern Virginia Baha’i Center targeted for October 13. Rosita Najmi is the coordinator for this event.

TOV-sponsored Intercommunity Birth of Baha’u’llah celebration on Saturday, November 11^th.

CURRENT YEAR GOALS

Fund Goals: $650 per month: $250 to the NBF; $200 to Baha’i

Center; $50 to Kingdom Project for Chilean Temple; $150 retained in Local

Fund.

Seven Non-Fund Goals: (1) Institutes (5 or 7); (2) Devotionals once a

month—2^nd Sarurday; (3) Children’s Classes (OWBS and Neighborhood

Classes); (4) Community Outreach/Service; (5) Teaching; (6) LSA

Development; and (7) Media/Publicity.

Goal Coordinators: (1) Institutes-Kamelia; (2) Devotionals –Barbara; (3)

Community Outreach/Service-Farzad; (4) LSA Development—Vahid; (5)

Social Activities—Houman; (6) Teaching—Fariba; (7) Media/Publicity—John.
