COMMUNITY NEWS:

A loving welcome to the Town of Vienna Baha'i community to Lucas Fakembe who joins us from his years of service at the Bosch School in California and International Center in Haifa! Welcome back to the community to Andrew Scruggs who served with Lucas at the Bosch School!

Vahid and Barbara Alavian have arrived and settled in Uganda to begin their years of service for the World Bank (and the Baha'i Faith). Our thoughts and prayers are extended to our dynamic and sorely missed pioneering duo and to the friends in Uganda whom they will serve.

Plans are underway to begin not one but two junior youth groups in the Town of Vienna Baha'i community (one for boys and one for girls). The ATC has identified animators for each group. For details and schedules, please contact Carol Dunlap and Laurie Marek.

Our community and the Northern Virginia Family Church is co-sponsoring an Interfaith Devotional on the subject of "Gratitude" at the Northern Virginia Baha'i Center on Friday, November 20th, at 7:30 PM. This is a wonderful opportunity to pray and share experiences with friends from many religious backgrounds and spiritual paths. Please come and join us for this very special evening of prayer, music, and interfaith unity.
